I just purchased 11 of these for my makeup kit, and I used one of them to see how it applies. I went to wash the brush, and the foundation was hard to remove. What can I use to remove the color?
How to Remove Foundation from Bdellium Tools Brushes
For Quick Daily Cleaning
Use: Bdellium Tools Makeup Brush Cleanser, micellar water, or alcohol-free brush cleaner spray.
Steps:
1. Lightly spray the cleanser directly on the bristles (avoid soaking the metal ferrule).
2. Gently wipe the brush on a clean towel or tissue in circular motions until product residue disappears.
3. Allow the brush to air dry flat or with the bristles hanging over the counter edge to maintain shape.
Tip: Quick cleaning helps prevent product buildup, especially with cream or liquid foundation.
For Deep Cleaning (Recommended Weekly)
Use: Mild liquid soap or brush shampoo (sulfate-free), and optionally a small amount of olive oil or cleansing balm for long-wear foundation.
Steps:
1. Wet only the bristles with lukewarm water — keep the handle and ferrule dry
2. Apply cleanser:
-Place a small amount of brush shampoo (and a drop of olive oil if needed) on your palm or a silicone brush cleaning pad.
3. Swirl gently to loosen foundation buildup.
4. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water until it runs clear.
5. Gently squeeze out excess water using a towel.
6. Reshape the brush head and lay it flat or slightly angled downward to air dry completely.
Avoid
-Soaking the entire brush in water (can loosen glue and damage handle).
-Using harsh detergents or alcohol-based cleaners (can dry out the synthetic fibers).
-Drying brushes upright — moisture can seep into the ferrule.

This is a slightly more flexible and soft Kabuki brush than another one I have which is extremely dense and firm. Still, this one leaves a nice finish, and feels comfortable to use. All brushes I have by Bdellium tools are well made, holding up well for years and many washes.

I got this brush in 2017, and put some pretty heavy professional use on it from the get go. I have used makeup forever brushes, MAC and Morphe foundation brushes, but none give the same soft finish on liquid foundations that this one has. Will be buying again since mine just started shedding. Hopefully my next one won’t shed this early in its life. Absolutely recommend.

I've had this brush for a couple months now & I must say it's been great. I wash it every time after I use it (I saw secondhand what could happen to your face if you don't) & so far have never experienced ANY fallout hairs or even loss of dye, which surprises me. I'm using it for my Honest cream foundation which does a much better job then the powder puff that came with it. I would buy it again!

This is the third brush that I've ordered, and so far it's one of the best brushes out there for blending cream and liquid foundations. Trust me I have tried countless brushes (Sigma,Morphe,Sedona Lace,etc.) this brush just stands out.

This brush is literally sent from the heavens! I've used countless brushes (MAC, Sigma, etc.) but nothing picks up my liquid foundation or goes on as flawlessly as this brush. And the price... you simply can't beat that. I would highly recommend this brush to anyone time and time again!

I love this brush, I've had it for over a year now. It applies my liquid foundation so flawlessly and effortlessly. This brush is soft and dense but still has a little give to it so it can really buff my foundation into my skin. It doesn't shed, not even after a lot of deep cleanings.

I purchased this brush specifically hoping for an airbrush look for my liquid foundation, and I do not regret it. It did not sheer out or cake the MAC MatchMaster foundation on my face
